To me--correct me if I'm wrong, please :)--Apple is like a deep pink/fuschia with a bit of red in it. My wedding gown looks old-fashioned with all ivory lace.
In May, I'm having the wedding and reception at the Whitehall, a historic mansion and huge botanical gardens, in Louisville, KY, and I'd really like something that could bring the atmosphere and the color of the dresses together.
(I'm hoping to have the wedding and reception on the front porch of the home, but if it looks like it might rain on that, I could always just have it inside.)
So again, I was wondering which colors and flowers would look great with the dresses
Here are pictures of the dresses:

Thanks for your help!! :D
What flowers should I pick to go with David's Bridal, apple bridesmaid dresses?
I'd go with soft pink and a little darker pink for the girls so the dresses dont get blended in with the flowers...my girls dresses are davids bridal "pool" and their flowers are pink so that way they pop.
Reply:Everyone is right about the David's Bridal "Apple" color--it is a red. I love your dress and think the style bridesmaid gown you picked really goes well with it. I would look for an old fashioned style bouquet--garden roses, miniature calla lilies--you could do assorted cream colors with some pale pinks. Maybe a cascading style or simple hand tied round. Don't get too big a bouquet--it will obscure all the detail on the dress. Maybe the florist could tie the bouquets with lace similar to your dress.
Reply:I always thought apple was more red than pink. And the David's Bridal apple definitely looks red.
How about red and white roses?
Reply:First off, I'd be choosing silk flowers. Why silk over natural flowers, so that your wedding party may keep their arrangements "forever", and they won't ruin the dresses by the natural colors "running" and natural flowers die. I'd be selecting bright spring colors for the attendees - small arrangements / decorations for the home depends on the if you need large or small - more like large arrangements. Bride, depends on her style. Maybe same as the attendees but more colorful and larger, or a different selection / style of bouquet for the bride
Reply:wow, that wedding dress is tres original, I love it! I think white or ivory roses against the apple color would really pop. the girls can have white and you can have red flowers- wowie!
Reply:I'm getting married in may and my colors are apple and black and white...but I'm using deep red roses and white lilies..and everything looks beautiful...and instead of using like baby's breath or ivy I'm using stephanotis...my florist is already done w/ my boutonnieres and corsages ( I'm using Faux flowers) and they look amazing I'm so excited
Reply:I love the beautiful look of white roses with a red shade dress. You could get the opposite...deep red and pink roses with your white dress. An all dark red boquet would be beautiful with your dress.
By the way....I LOVE your dress choices. You have great taste.
Reply:Davids Bridal apple is a deep true red. If the girls are wearing that color they should go with a lighter color flower. But on a separate note, the bridal gown and the bm dresses dont seem to "go" in my opinion. The beidal gown is beautiful, it looks old world vintage and would definitely go well inthe historic mansion setting. But those Bridesmaid dresses seem out of place. They look a bit more "outdoor modern beach wedding". Dont really go with your dress or the venue. What about Davids bridal F12732, F12985
Reply:If you haven't actually seen the "apple" in real life, let me tell you that its darker than it looks online. Its more of a red delicious apple color than a true red. (I have the sash for my dress from David Bridal). You should always go with flowers that are in-season. They will be less expensive that way! But if you don't care, I would go with calla lillies. they are beautiful! I found some that match the color of my sash perfectly! they also have white ones, and they come in different sizes. Also, mini roses are beautiful, as are regular lillies.
Congrats %26amp; good luck!
Reply:I've seen the DB apple color and trust me, it's red - not pink or purple - just red. It's still a beautiful combination. For a May wedding I would pair it with spring flowers like yellow and ivory tulips.
Reply:Too me, apple is a rich red without pink. Why don't you use red and green apples to tie it all together? David's bridal color Clover would look nice. Or a cream color.
Reply:for the bride

Reply:Very pretty dresses. Why not have them carry a bouquet of soft pink roses? Also, since your wedding is in May you better hurry up and get your flowers booked with a florist.
Good luck!
Reply:IMO, apple is a beautiful medium to deep red - no pink/fuschia.
I really think your BMs should have white flowers and you should have a deep red. This way the flowers will stand out against the colors of the dresses and will actually be seen, rather than 'blend in'.
I think both colors - red and white - of flowers look wonderful with greenery added into both. It helps tie the bouquets together.
Reply:It all depends on the money you are willing to spend. You could do red roses for yourself, ivory and red for the Maid of honor, red petals with the flower girl, and ivory for the bridesmaids. There are other red flowers that can be used, you will just need to contact a florist, but i would stick with small bloom flowers, because your dress is too delicate and the spaghetti straps are too thin and the flowers would look odd if they had large blooms (imagine a large daylily, that's a large bloom flower). GOOD LUCK!
Reply:ivory roses for the maids and deep reds for you
Reply:For you roses. Bridesmaids, did you ever see a Gerber Daisy, them come in beautiful shades of every color and I believe they can be dyed as well. Ask the florist. All the dresses are beautiful. Wonderful choices. Enjoy your day.
