How can I do a wedding by myself?

My mother and father have moved 5 hours away, my sisters are busy with their own life, and my friends have their own thing to do. So how can I find a dress, get flowers, find a chapel, get the reception done, etc. all on my own. Any advice?

How can I do a wedding by myself?
You can do it, your best bet is to choose an "all-inclusive" ceremony and reception site. They will have may things there packaged into one per person or total price. This will help you a LOT! You'll have so many fewer vendors to deal with. Usually, they'll deal with all the food, most of your reception %26amp; ceremony details, often the flowers, photos %26amp; DJ, even the officiant. And they will throw in the wedding planner. Usially they have lists of the vendors they recommend for the services that they don't provide. Then get yourself either a book or wedding software %26amp; keep track. You'll have so much fun, you be sorry when it's over!
Reply:YOU CAN DO IT. I have planned every element of my wedding on my own so far. You just need to be organized- have a checklist and try to make a little progress each day. If you have any friends to go dress shopping with, though, it'll be fun for all of you. Also, my fiance is no help at all, but hopefully your's will be!
Reply:%26lt;ake sure to allow yourself enough time to get all of this done, make a list and tackle them one by one, I have also planned my own wedding from beginning to end.
Reply:I know this sounds cliche but- one step at a time. I am planning mine by myself and I just spend lots of time on the internet looking at different pictures of stuff that I want, and I find websites and when I find something I like I email pictures or the link to my mom and friends and ask their opinion. Give the groom some things to do as well. Maybe he doesn't care if you have roses or tulips but give him something like the men's attire, the catering, ect. Most grooms (at least my man) don't know what you want them to help with. I was planning for about 2 weeks everyday and finally I was like "are you gonna help?" He told me that he thought I had it and he had no idea how much help I wanted or needed. So I asked what he has an interest in. He wants to take care of the attire for the men and the catering and he is planning the honeymoon. also he is trying to locate an old friend that is a photographer. So see maybe your guy will help.

Other than that find someone online to exchange iddeas, use theknot.com or I like perfectweddingguide.com

Go to discussion boards and just ask ask ask for ideas. That is what I do. Anyway good luck!
Reply:You get a notebook, keep track of appointments, and just go have fun. I am sure a friend or sister will go to at least one appointment with you.
