Wedding color suggestions?

My Fiance' %26amp; I are getting married May 16, 2008 in the evening (6 pm). The ceremony is being held outside on a terrace overlooking a huge lake %26amp; the reception is being held inside a tent that is lakefront. I cannot decide on colors. I know that I do not want all of my bridesmaids to wear the same color or the same dress, but I cannot figure out colors/shades that compliment eachother, but I do know that I want predominantly yellow flowers. Any suggestions for bridesmaid/wedding colors and/or yellow flowers?

Wedding color suggestions?
get feedback from your bridesmaids , let them choose their own dresses and colors... nothing wrong with a mixture and anything goes with yellow!
Reply:Shades of blue would be pretty with the yellow flowers, and nearly everyone looks good in some shade, from navy down to baby blue.
Reply:brown is really in right now I would say use vitorian lilac and brown together it should go well with the yellow flowers. and mayabe you can have some lilac with your yellow. Good luck
Reply:My colours were teal, pink, lilac and yellow. It was fun to decorate, etc. with these colours, and they were really happy!
Reply:shades of browns would look beautiful. Greens would look great. Soft peach. Get a color wheel. THat would help.
Reply:the colour wheel!!!! woot for colour theory. yellow's complimentary(the colour across the colour wheel) is purple, so various shades of prurple look nice with yellow, since purple is next to blue (split complimentary) blue also looks nice with yellow. also, depending on the shade, some reds (most likely pinks, depending on the shade of yellow) will look nice. a plum colour (aka redviolet) will look nice to. or you could go with oranges or grens, since those are analogous, or next to yellowon the colour wheel. those are my suggestions!!! good luck!!
Reply:I was the maid of honor in a wedding where the flowers were all yellow and we wore fushia hot pink, it was very bold and striking and looked great in the pics, and was a surprisingly good color on everyone! since you want to do different colors, do like fushia on one, turquoise on one, a nice green on one girl, a pretty orange maybe, and a bright purple and have them all have the same flowers, and you could have their bouquets tied with ribbon thats the same color as their dress.....it would really tie them all together, and it would be really bright and fun colored, perfect for an early summer wedding like yours
Reply:I would go with shades of lilac. That should be beautiful.
Reply:Since your wedding is in the spring, why don't you do spring colors like light blue, yellow, pink, etc.
Reply:My girls were in a soft Turquoise color and I had yellow, pink and white for flowers. If you want to see pictures, just email me!
Reply:a light purple color! like this kinda color!

Reply:Here are colors that will go well with yellow flowers.

Lavender

Peach

Sage

Periwinkle

Champagne
Reply:maybe bright peach colour,
Reply:I used yellow with nice shades of orange and Burgundy. It gave it a nice natural look. My wedding was also outside. That way you can have a bridesmaid in yellow, burgandy, and that rusty deep orange color that is becoming popular. =) I also used silver ribbons as accents in my bouquets, etc. It looked very nice.
