What type of tea is this?

My sister brought some home from a Chinatown in Canada. The tea was not in tea bags, as I recall. It was in small pouches. You emptied the contents of the small pocket into boiled water and it brewed into a beautiful pink color. There were all sorts of flowers and pretty things (plant-originated) in it. Any ideas? If you know WHAT it is, do you know where I could buy it? I'd like to use it to float candles for my wedding reception next month, not for drinking. Thanks.

if you are looking for the color effect, you can use a hibiscus tea, or a red zinger tea ( from bigelow)... lovely scent, beautiful colors. Hibiscus tea is found in many food specialty shops, health food stores, and cafes. Bigelow.. any supermarket... and congratulations in advance on your wedding!
Reply:if it is not to be consumed, it doesn't even have to be tea. You could go with colored water, and just a potpourri

wouldn't it be cheaper to use water %26amp; red food coloring but then it wont smell like flowers

Reply:These are display teas and each one brews a pot of tea. (Please add hot water to tea and not the other way around).





Congrats on your wedding reception, but display teas are too beautiful not to enjoy the flavor as well. Don't forget to save some for relaxing after all the festivities...
