Wedding: Have I forgotten anything?

I'm getting married in one and a half weeks. I've planned most of the wedding myself and organized it. Just wondering, from those of you with more experience - was there something you wish you'd had or think is generally forgotten in the rush?

I've got dresses, suits, shoes, flowers, reception, celebrant and most things I think - anything I might have missed. (Will provide updates if you ask a Q.)

Wedding: Have I forgotten anything?
try to have a pre trail hair up do, so there wont be any surprises on your wedding day, as well as a make up trail too

make sure to get any thing fancy you want in your hair like flowers or pins already bought

get your nails done a day less than 24 hours before the wedding, this way you wont run into any chipping and messes

Have the gifts bought for your wedding party

make sure everyone in the party knows the date time and location of the rehersal, so they wont show up late or not at all

Have a pair of comfy shoes, or sandles to bring with you so druning the dancing later on you can switch over

Always carry a safty bag, have someone put it in their purse or have a place for it, have deordarnt, shine wipes(which you dap on your face and it takes the oil and shine away, can be bought at any local drug store works well even with makeup on), extra makeup for touchups, perfume, bobypins in case your hair starts falling out.

Make sure your dress has a way to get pined in the back when you are at your reception so you wont step on it, where you bought the dress will help you out and do the work

Make sure to have somthing New, Blue, Borrowed and Old

Have your jewerlly picked out

Have a basket or bag ready with all the things your going to need to get ready so if your leaving to go get ready somewhere else besides your home you can just have it all in the bag or basket ready so you dont forget anything

Have a to do list so you can check things off

Contact your photographer, band or dj, as well as your decorater to make sure they know what time to be there, always get them there at least a hour earlier so they can get it all set up

Have a way for everyone int he party to get to the church and photographs

Look at the little details such as the cake, having a long white or red runner placed down to walk up the aisle on, having birdseed or bubbles for people to throw or blow when your are wed

make sure to have your engagement ring switched to your right hand

look at the photographer as much as possible and hold hands with your husband and look at your husband as much as possible, it will look better for the pictures

Check the bathroom at the reception place making sure that its clean, and have a basket for each bathroom with little things like lotion and perfume/colonge. Have the wedding favors ready, for all the guests make sure to have your name as well as his and the date and time on each one for the guests to keep
Reply:Play as your first dance with dad...A beautiful song sung by Heartland...."I Loved Her First" See the lyrics on google and you'll fall in love with it too....
Reply:you probably forgot the groom or the church. i forgot both and now i am very lonely
Reply:Purchase a marriage license? Photographer? Wedding Video?

Ring Pillow for Ring Bearer? Don't forget toasting glasses at the reception? Guest book?
Reply:Just in case--bring along a couple of extra bobby pins and a safety pin or two. My sister was my maid of honor and right before we were ready to walk down the aisle, her hair barrette broke! We scrambled like crazy to find a bobby pin or something. Better safe than sorry.

Reply:Your marriage license is probably the most important thing I can think of. I'm assuming you also have rings picked out.

Any of the stuff below is NOT NECESSARY, but are things a lot of brides have at weddings:

Are you making programs? They're not a necessity, and can be done at home on your computer.

Favors for reception? Guest book? Rice/bubbles for church exit? gifts for bridal party? gifts for parents?

An emergency kit: toothpaste/toothbrush, mouthwash, mints, makeup (for touch ups) hairspray, deodorant, bobby pins, safety pins, a sewing kit, good sticky tape (and do wonders for an emergency hem repair in short order!!), a tide pen or other stain remover, white chalk (can cover a spot on your dress a pinch!!), extra pantyhose, clear nail polish (to fix runs), tampons/pads, and grippy pads for the soles of your shoes (you don't want to trip walking down the aisle!), and something you can snack on - granola/cereal bars, etc. It sounds like a lot of stuff, but really, you've probably got most of it at home. The rest is very inexpensive to purchase, and will fit nicely into a small tote bag.

And most importantly - do not forget to have fun. It does NOT matter what happens that day - you're getting married and celebrating your commitment. I know it's stressful, but keep that in mind and have a blast! Congratulations and best of luck!
Reply:um something old, something new, something borrowed ans something blue, and i think a silver six pence in you shoe...

ooo and the rings... a photographer
Reply:Yes! Having fun. I got married in December and did the whole thing myself. Believe me the last week is the worst, because everthing is done and then the waiting starts. Go out sightseeing or spend some time with your family.
Reply:ur emergency wedding day cake. kleenex, xtra pair of hose, scissors, needle and thread, etc.
Reply:what a headache, I went to Vegas cost 100 dollars for everything, expect my engagement ring it 4 carat marque cut. and that day when we got married i hit the big wheel of fortune slot won 1,500 and we went back to the hotel made love drove back home to Los Angele's, and bought a house with money we saved for our original planes for the wedding.

GOD BLESS YOU AND I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK AND HAPPINESS.
Reply:vechicle afterwards, gifts for the wedding parties...if you search wedding check;ist there are sites that will help you out...best of luck...

I kno if frustrating at times... i planned the wholle wedding by myself....try watching some wedding shows on tv also they can give you more ideas.. =)
Reply:Get your nails, hair and makeup done on the morning to be fresh. Always make sure brides maids are not as decorated as you.
Reply:My parents and I had talked about having breakfast the morning of the wedding, just the 3 of us before all of the chaos began. We decided that it was too much and we just didn't have time. I really wish that we would have just made time b/c I think that would have been a special memory.

Good luck to you and have a wonderful day!!
