Reception centerpiece help please!?

To save money I am going to try and do a different centerpiece at each table at my wedding reception. Well, not at EVERY single table, but I was wanting vases on each table with flowers but the flowers are so expensive so I'm thinking about doing flowers only on a couple of tables then on other tables do more like floating candles and then maybe something else...but everything requires some kind of vase and I've been looking at vases online and they are outrageous...I didn't know if there was a website where you can buy vases like in bulk for this kind of reason and it's a good deal or at least a decent deal? I can buy taller vases for the tables I'm going to put flowers on and shorter vases for the floating candle tables...any suggestions are greatly appreciated in advance :)

Also, a good website to get those LED lights that you can put in vases? The ones I'm finding are like 7 bucks each...and have you ever seen food coloring in the vases with water? Does it look good?

Have you checked with wholesale florists in your area? Buying glass vases online will usually involve a huge shipping charge. They usually have the LED lights, too. And food coloring in the vases looks pretty for a while, but if you're using white or light-colored flowers, they will start to absorb the coloring and turn that color.

Consider thrift shops and Goodwill for your vases. You can often find the kind that came from florists for as little as $.25, and clean them with vinegar so they look brand new. And you know they don't all have to match. In fact, unless you're dealing with a huge reception, you could make them all different. Have fun with it!
Reply:I would start with dollar stores and discount stores just to see what options they have....I've been very surprised and lucky with what I've found there! You may also have better look finding what you want at a great price is you choose similar vases in either the same color or height, but different styles. If you'd like to consider that, you're options are going to be wide open. Check thrift stores, antique stores, Good Will and yard sales for vases if they don't have to all be the same.

Your idea sounds great though! I don't see why every table needs to be the same. Dollar Tree has some very pretty clear glass candy dishes that would work great for floating candles!
Reply:Check every Dollar type store in your town, then try K-Mart and Walmart ....Good luck!!!
Reply:Go to walmart- you can get all kinds of glass vases for cheap. Fill them with a few colored glass stones and water and float candles on top. Also, don't buy your flowers from a florist-it's a rip! You can get your flowers at walmart too if you know how to arrange them. That's what I did- I even made my own bouquet. I spent a total of $136 on flowers for my wedding.
