What theme should I use for my wedding?

I'm getting married in may, but I kind of wanted a dark slightly punk and a gothy wedding. But my reception is in a pub in the middle of a rennaissance fair! I love rainbows and my mom wants to have pots of colorful flowers to give away as wedding favors. I have no idea how to make this all fit! any suggestions on a theme?

What theme should I use for my wedding?
You could have each attendant carry a different colored bouquet with a different colored dress (Blue flowers=blue dress, yellow flowers= yellow dress, ect Flower girl throws multi colored flower petals). I have some links to goth dress site for bridesmaids. Fairy Goth Mother has a few nice styles that come in different colors.

There is a link to Black Rose Co. they have a bridal bouquet that you could use as an idea. You could add one flower from each of the other colors to your bouquet. The flower pots your mom wants to pass out could contain each of the colors from the wedding including the black flowers. You could also, use a very dark purple in place of black. It might appease your mom and it's still goth and goes with the renaissance period. I hope it helps, if you like the ideas I can help some more. just email me at eliza_ad@yahoo.com
Reply:do what ever feels right to you, even if that means saying no to your moms idea.
Reply:medevil times . . . with knights, wenches, sorcerers and witches . . .

Honestly . . . I don't know . . . but at the reception . . . bring out all your girl-friends and have a midevil orgy . . . (just kidding)
Reply:King Arthur theme - rather goth.....read Mists of Avalon for inspiration....

So cool to have it during a rennaissance fair!
Reply:I have the perfect band.....I'll look them up and put the name here for ya.
Reply:Romantic songs
Reply:Make it your own-It shouldn't matter on your likes and a theme for your wedding. Make it so everything you want is in the wedding theme. the worst thing you could do is make everything look the same and be the same. Do what you want-mix and match the goth and rennaissance theme together in both the wedding and the reception. Like put black pots with colorful flowers in them and have the wedding party wear something the rennaissance people do.
