Birdhouse Wedding Centerpieces?

Has anyone used birdhouses for wedding reception centerpieces? Please send pictures or advice!

I bought 12 birdhouses in various lake %26amp; beach themes for my Tahoe beach wedding. I'm not sure how to set up the tables with them. Flowers? Manzanita branches? Help?

Thank you.

Birdhouse Wedding Centerpieces?
Thats really cute. You could put them on a round flat platter filled with beach sand and little shells... just an idea. :)
Reply:You could make the trimmings very pretty; for the dark brown houses holly branches would look nice...Or even cherry blossom branches. Pink tones go wonderfully with browns. If you wanted actual flower arrangements, you could ask your florist to tuck little birds inside the arrangement.

If you're inside, you could even suspend them from the ceiling over the tables. That would be pretty.

Yellow flowers would also look nice with the dark browns.

I hope I helped just a bit. Many congratulations to you and your partner! :) Have a beautiful day (and a wonderful wedding =] )
Reply:Well, you could just scatter some shells around the house, and that could be it. Or you could set the houses in the middle of a flower arangement. Go to a Michals' craft store for ideas, I got one with my visit Friday on what to do with my baby sized rocking chair.

A little styrofoam, some greenery, gee even some sand and shells.
Reply:Well, experiment with the branches and see which way you like best.

I like the idea of birdhouses, provided of course you don't plan on having any birds inside them while using them as table centerpieces.

For the third birdhouse, I suggest some decorative artificial leaves used in lieu of branches for the ornateness.
Reply:Use moss, leaves, berries and sticks.. they are bird houses, i don't think sand and shells would be appropriate.
Reply:I love this idea. Here are some more non-floral centerpiece ideas.
