Fake Flowers????

I am looking into flower options for our wedding and reception and came across this site. Is anyone familiar with using flake flowers, and possibly this site in particular?

Thanks!

Fake Flowers????
I am using silk flowers for my wedding. Every week in the Sunday paper there is a 40% off coupon for JoAnn's Fabric's and a 40% off coupon for Michael's Crafts ~ so every week I call everyone I know who gets a paper %26amp; ask them to save the coupon for me ~ then go to the store to buy individual "flowers"

I feel pretty cheap, only buying as many flowers as I have a coupon for, but weddings are expensive! LOL :) It has taken me about 2 months, but I am almost finished w/mine %26amp; the maids bouquets.

I don't know about this company. But I prefer to shop in person, rather than online, for silks ~ once you start looking, you will see that although most look very lifelike, some look very cheap %26amp; fake ~ it's too hard to tell from a website photo if the flowers are realistic. Plus, there prices are comparable to JoAnn's %26amp; Michaels ~ even if you aren't able to get coupons, they are *always* running sales.

Whatever you decide, best of luck to you :)
Reply:Wow, I asked pretty much the same question a little while ago! Wish I would have read this first lol. I think that on the website they look like they are pretty good quality, and the price is right so I think I will probably go with them!
Reply:wow those flowers look beautiful go with the fake you'll save alot of money and they look great.i plan to use fake flowers for my wedding.
Reply:Can't help with that website but I used "fake flowers" for everything and it was beautiful also a big plus is that I still have my flowers since I was just married July 2007 and I use them as a centerpiece on my dining room table. You will be able to keep them forever as opposed to real flowers that die.
Reply:I used fake flowers for my wedding. We got our flowers from Home Interiors. Then we took the flowers and made the bouquets. Everything was beautiful.
Reply:I am doing a combination of fake and real at my wedding the plus for fake is that they can be prepared before hand and used again after the wedding and the other upside is that they are cheaper and sometimes even more beautiful than real. Try other websites too as in save on crafts, Hobby Lobby, and Michael's. Good luck and Best wishes
Reply:silk flowers can be spectacular in bouquets and floral arrangements! we have had four weddings in our family and had some with fresh flowers and some with silks~when we've used the silks no one could tell the difference!

i know many people spray the silks with floral spray in order to give them a fresh flower scent, but i find the sprays pretty much all smell phony. what i suggest you do is if you decide to go with silks for your bouquets, tuck one real rose in amonst the silk roses - the scent will be noticable and smell just like it should! [and that one fresh rose can be pulled out and handed to your mum as you stop to kiss her on your way out of the church]

i wouldn't order on-line unless i had to, just because its nice to see the actual product. we recently attended a wedding in the u.s. and the bouquets and all the flowers were silks. they were from michael's - white roses and looking at them you would never tell they weren't fresh cut flowers!

good luck and happy wedding!

p.s. i would suggest the mum's corsages be fresh flowers, lots of ladies dont care for silk!
Reply:It's your wedding so you can do whatever you like. I think silk flowers are more affordable and can be a keepsake. You can use colors with silk that you can't always find in real. I think that silk would be great if you like them. Personally I think they look beautiful. Good Luck!

There's nothing wrong with working within a budget and not letting costs get out of hand. I admire you and every other bride who is trying to be reasonable with expenses. Best wishes!
Reply:I'm using fake flowers for my wedding, however I prefer to say "silk flowers" lol. Anyways, I've got allergies but I wanted flowers, and these are more affordable for us. My bouquet looks real! :)

Sorry I can't help you with the site, but I can tell you , you'll be able to save your flowers forever (if you want to that is)
