Wedding package on a budget?
OK, j%26amp;b bridal i got my dress from in c-burg, we did our flowers ourselves, for $100, the dress was $464. I did the cake myself, as i am a cake artist$50, and renting the amvets was $50, and the food was $50. my mom worked there. we gave the minister $25 for 1/2 day of helping and doing the vows and since there was NO alcohol, it was relatively cheap. YOu were there, lol. we didn't have alot of people, but we had enough food for 50.

I did the invites my self on my computer, $30. The DJ was a gift from my moms bf at the time.

Let me know when she is getting married, I might be able to do her wedding cake for 'cost and gas'.

YES IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO A WEDDING UNDER $1000 YOU MORONS!!! go take a flying leap cause it don't have to cost thousands of dollars to do a wedding!!!!
Reply:Good Luck!
Reply:The only place I've heard of such packages in Las Vegas, but probally you won't be able to find that deal anywhere else.

PS/ You say that you are not "willing" to travel nine hours either, I believe that you are asking for too much.

I concur. Good Luck
Reply:That is a very low budget to get a package. The only thing that she can do is to do it all herself with the help of you and other relatives. Only invite immediate family, close relatives, and close friends. She can invite some of her co-workers but I think that will be a problem since those who are not invited will not be too happy about it. She either invites all of her co-workers or none at all. She can have the ceremony in her backyard. There are plenty of cheap dress and tux rental. For flowers, she won't be able to get those fancy ones. She needs to go to a market and assemble them herself. Just go online and look at flower arrangements sample and copy the ones that she likes the most. For reception, since she will be having it in her backyard she can have the reception inside the house. She will have to cook the food herself or she can have a caterer do it for her. A caterer will cost more money so I think cooking the food herself is better. Have some light hors d' oeuvres like fruit and cheese, chicken skewers, crab cakes, etc (simple items). She can get some martinelli's, soft drinks, bottled water, champagne, and wines. For the main entree she can have salad, chicken or salmon or beef. For the dessert she can serve the wedding cake. The wedding cake doesn't have to be expensive. She can spend a bit money of the studio photos since she will be keeping those forever. Good luck!
Reply:what area of pa because i might know some in the bloomsburg area, but i dont know if that would be any help to you
Reply:They have these places everywhere... Look online!!!

PS it's much cheaper if you do it your self and not buy a packaged ordeal!
Reply:Ditto Opalescent-Angel's answer - good luck is really all I can say. There's no way you're going to find everything you've listed for less than $1,000. It's just not going to happen.

The only way to keep a wedding that cheap is to wear an outfit you already own, hold it in someone's backyard with your own (or borrowed) tables, chairs, table cloths, etc, have someone bake your cake as a gift and some others do the cooking (buffet style) as a gift. You aren't going to find a package that cheap.
Reply:I have never in life heard of a wedding that all inclusive. My goodness. That doesn't exist. For $1,000 you can probably buy a cheap dress, have the groom wear a suit, invite 20 people to a church, pay an officiant, carry a bouquet and rent out a private room at a nice restaurant and pay for everyone to have dinner and a nice cake.
Reply:try this for flowers they ship.
