What is a wedding ceremony at City Hall like?

Is it big? How many guests can attend? Can I wear a dress? How much does it cost? How long does the ceremony take? Do we bring flowers? Do you have a reception afterwards? We know nothing about city hall weddings but we cant afford an average wedding, so we're exploring all options. Please give me any information you may have on Civil Ceremonies at City Hall. Thanks!!

Every location is going to be different in space/size.

I attended a city hall wedding that was actually held inside the Mayor's office and there was just enough room for the bride, groom, mayor and about 7 or 8 "guests".

If you are worried about cost, it is not the wedding ceremony that breaks the bank - - it is the reception. So if you wanted to go to a church or anything, you could easily and affordably do so.
Reply:Depending on which city hall. They usually are like 3-5 min, and not so special... I highly recommend the church instead...
