Aqua and Silver OR Aqua and Brown for wedding?

Im thinking about doing those colors / one of the two but havent choose which one yet, my sister said aqua and silver, and my best friend says aqua and brown, the wedding is Sept '07 and the girls dresses either way would be aqua I guess... anyone know of ideas for the wedding reception for center pieces with these colors or flowers, any ideas would help!! Or web sites to look at ! Thanx!

Aqua and Silver OR Aqua and Brown for wedding?
My Vote: Aqua and brown. Perfect fall colors. A cool palate- but not cold.
Reply:I like the idea of brown and aqua. I'm a huge chocolate fan and you could do some fun things with chocolate at your reception if you choose brown.
Reply:Brown with the aqua will look really good in the fall.. its much more dramatic and you can make it very formal down to casual.. those are very unique colors. Good luck!
Reply:Why not use all three colors?
Reply:auqua and brown is the way to go I did my invitations in these colors and people just thought they were beautiful.
Reply:go with brown.....turn it into a fall theme....brown will be classic forever....silver is too trendy and will look tacky in 25 years.
Reply:aqua and silver are great combinations
Reply:aqua and silver is the way to go coz brown is not a good color for a wedding,
Reply:why couldn't you do both? you could have white flowers tied with brown ribbon and maybe some brown flowers (yes their are some) and decorate with all 3 colors, this way you can have more options. I love both tho, but my only arguement against the brown is that black tuxes clash and become a big issue
Reply:Aqua and Silver that would be nice i like that!! Good Luck have a great Wedding!!!
Reply:Good luck and Congratulations!!! I vote aqua and brown
Reply:I would go with the aqua and brown. They look amazing together. Check out some bridal websites and you will start to see those colors together. With the centerpiece I would go with ivory flowers and tie in the aqua with ribbons on the pots, which could be brown. You could find some really neat containers and that would look great with a neutral flower and the aqua would really off set it all. My colors are pink and brown and I am finding lots of brown stuff to use at craft stores and online. You can even find brown freeze dried rose petals to sprinkle on tables. Hope that helps. If you need more ideas I recommend the Brides.com Message Boards. I am on there every day and there are tons of helpful girls with lots of great ideas and pictures of ideas. I'll post the link to it below....
Reply:my bathroom is aqua and dark brown and its bold and pretty. i think it would be nice!
Reply:Brown and aqua I think work better than aqua and silver. You can do a lot more with brown than with silver. Because the brown is a basic color you can accent it more with the aqua without it being overwhelming. The silver just seems like it might be too much with aqua. Imagine accenting brown invitations with ivory and aqua. It wouldn't be as flashy as silver, but I think that color scheme would be fabulous. Good Luck!
Reply:r u going 4 a swim or getting married? what ever happened 2 white.
Reply:well if you ant a modern look go with aqua and silver if you want a classy and sophisticated look go with aqua and brown i my self say the aqua and silver but both are really great choices i lik cause that really diffrent for a wedding something new so good luck
Reply:I say aqua and silver! Silver is always a great highlighting color. You could get some of your flowers tipped with silver, that's always pretty :)

Good luck and Congratulations!!!!
Reply:You may be getting married in the fall but if you want Aqua for sure you need to go with silver trust me sweets I'm a wedding planner!
Reply:Brown and Aqua are very TRENDY colors so the photos will look dated very quickly. Aqua and silver are less dramatic though. It depends on what type of wedding, what time of day, what setting etc.
Reply:Since september is later in the year I would go with the aqua and brown. I think a very simple aqua bridesmaid dress with an A-line skirt to it with a wide satin brown bow tied in the back would be beautiful!!! Flowers and Centerpieces could be blue/aqua hydrangas with the brown ribbon again. They could wear brown shoes so that they are muted and neutral. Groomsmen could have the same brown tuxes with the aqua vests or trim. Just be carful if you do pick the brown to avoid blacks (like the groomsmen's tuxes) You don't want a bridesmaid with a brown accented dress walking with a black tux. I really like these colors, and have considered them myself. Best of luck, and congrats!
Reply:Yikes! Is this a 1970's Disco theme wedding?

Those two colors are SO oerv used by decorator's without any fresh ideas. They are SO overused right now that Target, Walmart and K Mart have entire collections based around them.

RUN AWAY! Besides, they are COLD colors. Try using a color that looks alive, warm and healthy.

All I can picture with aqua and brown or silver is a group of pasty pale sickly green skinned people standing around at an Elk's Lodge facility with watered down beer and BBQ sandwiches at the reception.

If you like brown- look at all the colors in the pink, peach family.
Reply:Aqua and silver. I just think those colors look so classy together. You could put the ladies in aqua, and the maid of honer in silver. Beautiful Centerpieces, mirror with a silver vase and blue hydrangeas, or anything else that's blue. Your florist can come up with other flowers. I believe they can also spray flowers to any color you want, but natural is always best. Google images of wedding centerpieces. They have tons. One place that was really pretty was Anne's flowers (I think) Good luck.
Reply:Aqua and silver!!!!
Reply:Aqua and brown is in for now but honestly aqua and silver is much more classic looking. I would opt for that one. I am doing aqua and coral, can't wait! Good luck!
