What is the average costs of wedding? Like: photographers, videographers...?

receptions, churches, wedding gown, flowers, bouquets etc.... Thank you for your help and time.

What is the average costs of wedding? Like: photographers, videographers...?
Total was $21,500

A little over $20,000 for wedding and about $1,500 for honeymoon. My wedding was in California and for 100 people.

This is from a spreadsheet I made to keep track of how much I was spending since we only had a $20,000 budget we had saved in our savings account over the past 5 years while we were in college. We spent about $1,500 on a honeymoon which originally we weren't going to do because of school (we ended up cutting classes for 3 days) so that's not included in the $20,000 we had planned for but we had the money in our checking account for it so that was ok. No credit card nightmares for us.:

Reply:I think the average cost of a wedding is around 20-25K. Your budget with determine the cost of photographers, videographers, etc. Below is something like what you will need

Ceremony is about 5% - site, officient's fee, guest book, flower girl basket, ring bearer Pillow

Wedding attire is about 10% - gown, alteration, veil, gloves, jewelry, garter, shoes, hair, makeip, pre-bridal pampering, groom's formalware

Photography is about 9%

Videography is about 9%

Stationary is about 4% - stamps, thank you notes, announcements, programs, seating cards, reception cards, invitations, response cards...

Reception is about 35% - site, catering, beverages, servers, gratuity, favors, etc.

Music is about 5% - ceremony music, reception music, cocktail hour

Bakery is about 2% - wedding cake, groom's cake, cutting fee, cake topper, knife..

Flowers is about 6% - bouquets, flowerss for hair, corsages, coutonniers, site flowers...

Decorations usually about 3% - centerpieces, etc.

Transportation about 2%

Rental items about 3% - tent, canopy, dance floor, tables, chairs, linens, tableware, laterns, etc.

Gifts about 3% - brides/grooms gifts, bridal party gifts

Parties about 4% - bradesmaid luncheon, rehearsal dinner

That leaves about 4% for miscellaneous items - newspaper announcement, license, wedding consultant, etc.
Reply:Well, it depends a lot on the number of guests and the location (not just how ritzy the place is, but also the region of the country). I'll give you what I know:

-Photog: $600-$5,000 (depending on their experience, nubmer of hours they will photograph, what extras are included in the package) [mine is $1,100]

-Gown: $100-$5,000 (depending on if you buy online or in a store, and if you need alterations) [mine was $144]

-Flowers: $0-$10,000 (depending on how many flower pieces you want for the ceremony and reception, how many tables you have to decorate, how ornate you want the centerpieces, if you have them delivered, if you make the arrangements yourself or pay a florist) [mine is $275 - I'm having the florist make the archpiece and centerpiece for the head table, then my mom and I will make the bouquets, bouts, and centerpieces]

-DJ: $400-$4,000 (depending on number of hours, their experience, and how hard it is to maneuver their equipment at the location) [mine is $750]

-Reception dinner: $10-$250 per plate (depending on the food, the service, etc.) [mine is $50/plate, including a cocktail hour with hors deuvres and open bar]

Our total cost for our wedding (including everything, even invites and gifts for the wedding party) is gonna be just under $8,000. We're having about 62 guests.

Hope that helps!

Edit: Well, I'm getting married at the CocoPalm Restaurant in Pomona - I think it used to be the Castaway restaurant! It has really nice views and seems reasonably priced, for SoCal anyway. Here's their site if you're interested: http://www.cocopalmrestaurant.com/
Reply:I know you are looking more toward the hollywood/valley area. But I got married at electra cruises in newport beach and they are wonderful. My wedding total was right around $9,000. You should just give it a look because it was a very unique and beautiful experience. Also you paid the company in one lump sum. So you didnt have to worry about paying the vendors it was all done for you. The package even comes with a wedding planner and you are married by the captain of the boat. That price included The boat(Newport Princess), food, photographer, cake, flowers, dj and an open bar all night for 80 guests.
Reply:My husband and I did a destination wedding at the Sandals resort in St. Lucia (An island in the West Indies)...It was awesome! They call it a 'weddingmoon' because the wedding is included with the trip...Dress, honeymoon, wedding, and all it ran us about 7k...I would definitely recommend checking something like this out if you are working with a limited budget...Oh, and the resort was all inclusive so food, champagne etc. was all included...It was completely stress free and planning was a cinch..We still have great photos and the wedding was very romantic.
Reply:i really disagree on these costs. my toatal wedding was about 3000.00 we did or own bouquets and favors. we didnt have a photographer and videographer. everyone had cameras and we got so many different pictures for nothing. the video was done by a friend and it was perfect. as far as the food we cooked ourselves and had a really nice dinner. plus you get to spend that extra time with you family together. we brought our on supplies and had about 150 guests at our wedding. it wa perfect
Reply:Considering your location, it may run you from $20K and up depending on how many people you have...

*Reception venue--approx. $80/head and up

*DJ--$1,000-$3,000

*Photo/Video--$1,500-$6,000

*Flowers--$500 and up

*Church--varies...some ask for a "donation" of $100...others go much higher...

*Wedding gown--$99 and up

I suggest you shop around and compare vendors before actually choosing....and remember to NEGOTIATE!
Reply:to much lol umm probably 10,000 to 15,000 depending on how fancy you go and where you go and everything...sometimes it costs more...i am only having a budget of 5,000 but i'm not paying for reception hall, catering, cake and church(we get for free because we attend)..so it just depends
Reply:Photographers run about $1300 - 2800

Video - $1400 - 2500

Flowers - run from $500 - $4500

Limos - $200 per hour minimum of 3 hours

Church $500-$1000

Wedding Gowns, $800-$3000
Reply:hereby is some interesting stats about the wedding budgets:

Reply:Where do you live? That matters a lot. If you live in a big city, things are normally much more exspensive. That will help alot.
Reply:Try www.theknot.com, then you can talk to brides in your area and get quotes
Reply:I guess it depends on the location. It also depends on how long you want them. A whole day or a half day makes a difference. Where i live the average photographer is at least $1,000. Sometimes you can get lucky and find someone for between 600 and 800.

I would check your yellow pages and check online too because a lot of photographers have websites with all of their information laid out. Pricing and packages even some of their work.

Gowns all depend on who extravagant you want it to be and where you are purchasing it from. Mine was $500 from davids bridal.

Receptions depend on the type of decor you want. The type of linens, place settings, chairs, etc. The food you will be serving also bits into the budget a lot. You also have to think about the dj, decorations, favors, and cake...

real flowers are very pricey... i don't know much about them since i chose the "fake" route. I only spent about $60 on my 3 bridesmaids bouquets and they are lovely.
