Wedding Centerpieces...?

I'm looking for examples of centerpiece without flowers for my wedding reception. The colors are red and white, and we're trying to stick with mostly hearts for a theme. I'm getting married in August! Any ideas? Where can I find some ideas?

Wedding Centerpieces...?
-Floating heart candles in a bowl of water would be good. You could do red hearts with white pepples on the bottom of the bowl or vice versa

-For my wedding I had some candle holders that looked like little wine glasses (got them at walmart for 97 cents each) with a votive candle in it. Around the base I wrapped some fake ivy (also from walmart) and I sprinkled rose petals around the table. Instead of petals you could do confetti in red and white hearts. I had two colors of candle in the holder, alternating each table.

- I have also seen tall candle holders ( tall skinny ones with the cup at the top) with either votive or tealight candles in your colors with mirror as a base. Sit a few holders on the mirror, then use ivy or confetti on the mirror or leave it plain.

- Some companies that do wedding supplies make these suckers on really long sticks that look like different shapes (hearts, roses, stars). You could put a bundle of those in a vase on the table and let guests have them after the wedding. They could be your favors, you could put a little tag on them saying tank you or something. You can get them in a lot of colors.

-A few large pillar candles in red and white on a mirror (or something like that) would look good. They could be different heights and you could spread confetti around it on the table.

- My cousin had fish in bowls as her center pieces. You could find some red or white fish that didn't need an oxygenated tank and put them in a cheap bowl (doesn't have to be a normal fish bowl) with red and white pebbles in the bottom or heart shaped rocks in red and white on the bottom. The fish wouldn't have to be red or white. Betas would also work, or goldfish, both are relatively cheap. Confetti around the fishbowls is always good. After the wedding your wedding party could take the fish home or you could let whoever wanted one take them home.

That is all I can think of for now. If I think of something else I will add it on. Hope these help or aat least give you ideas.

I put my entire wedding together myself, so I know what you are going through.

By the way, I will be celebrating 1 Year tomorrow!!!!
Reply:We did ours in red and white. We had open red/white roses, and floating candles in glasses that we bought at garage sales, etc. The glasses were all unmatched. We put a red ribbon across the table and a white thinner ribbon on top of it. We sprinkled red and white silk rose petals down the ribbon. We also used glass flat red/white and clear marbles. At the end of the evening we encouraged all the guests to take the glassware home. They took ALL of them.

The entire floral bill for the wedding was under $700.
Reply:Maybe do a small dish with those glass beady things in it with a beautiful candle
Reply:Why don't you try finding some cute little dishes and put some red and white heart shaped candies in them? Not only will they be cute and inexpensive, your guests will love nibbling on them! Another thing that I love to see is floating candles in some sort of candel holder. Those really create a nice ambiance, too. Hope this helps!
Reply:I think candles always look classy. Maybe floating heart candles in a glass heart shaped bowl? Or even heart shaped pillar candles. I've seen them on a lot of websites.
Reply:I like the idea of candelabras!

I also like the idea of a picture of the wedding couple on every table surrounded by Hershey's kisses and hugs candies

Reply:How about heart candles floating in a dish w/ water?
Reply:There are new companies popping up all over the country called Edible Arrangements, they make these beautiful flower arrangements out of carved fruit, so your guests can nibble on them during the reception party. They're a hit. check them out. They have chocolate dipped berries and melon ball centers.
Reply:I've seen a lot of taking vases and filling them with fruit or using fake presents / picture collages...
