I am having an outdoor wedding at a local park that is ugly but there is no nice place close to where I live and I don't have money to go somewhere else so I figure I will work with what I have. My bridesmaid dresses are a lighter pink and my flowers are going to be calla lilies, tulips etc in brighter pink, yellow, orange, and a little bit of green and white. My dress is all white and the groom and groomsmen will be in traditional black and white tuxes. I found a pretty arbor to use at the park but need other decorating ideas...chairs are really old and ugly but dont think I can afford covers or bows for all of them. Our reception will be at our local elks lodge...also ugly :P I am wondering how much it would cost to do tulle over the walls and would appreciate any other ideas for centerpieces and things like that. Without evidence are doing finger foods and a potato bar so also any ideas for food?? Thanks!!!

Balloons can be really cheap, and you can look online for creative ballon arrangements you can do. You can use them in big groups to block out things you don't want seen, or even in the reception area to bring the eye "down" and away from the ceiling. Don't worry about the chairs. Once people sit down, they don't look at them anyway, and you won't even see them in the pictures.
Taco bar would be an easy addition to a potato bar. A dessert bar can also be elegant, and more inexpensive than a traditional wedding cake.
Reply:chech fabric store and party supply stores for rolls of tulle.try dollar stores for vines with flowers on it to help decorate. try making some of yours and your fiances fav foods. maybe a candy bar with fav candys. good luck!!
