I am getting married early-mid october 2009, I have my mind set on borwn and yellow for colours and sunflowers/dasies/brown eyed susans for flowers. I can't seem to find a place with the perfect rustic/country setting or a Barn... I have many ideas, but would like some outsiders input and anything from anyone who has already done this type of themed wedding. I like the masonry jars with stones and sunflowers for centre peices and I may mix with masonry jars with candles... I have not decided on which colour the bridesmaids will wear yellow or brown (this will need to be a deep yellow, if not brown) any ideas will be greatly appreciated. and I am all about DIY...
Rustic/Country Wedding Reception venue in Hamilton/Burlington Ont Area.. Also any other Ideas would be helpful
Here are a few places that you may want to look into. Also, check into your local parks and recreations department.

You can check out this place as well. I don't know if they would allow you to do a private event there, but if you like it then it's worth looking into...

Here are a few pictures of weddings that have used the sunflower/yellow and brown theme.

For the bridesmaid dresses I think they would look beautiful in a nice brown dress, then have them carry yellow sunflowers.
Reply:What about some of the wineries - you might be able to find something there.
Good luck, and Congratulations.
Reply:I'm actually looking to plan a country/rustic wedding as well. I really like the idea of a winery. Another idea that I'm looking into is small towns and rural areas around me. Alot of them have the older building, churches and halls. Good luck!
