What do u do with all the things after the reception and the wedding?

Like all the table clothes, the flowers, the candles, the chair covers, everything...what do i do with it?

What do u do with all the things after the reception and the wedding?
I was wondering this too as buying the tablecloths for one of my weddings actually came out cheaper then renting them. So I have 20 table cloths 20 overlays and a lot of Moroccan lanterns to get rid of.

I thought maybe I would find one of those donation wedding groups (wedding trees as I have heard them called) and see if anyone was interested. I still don't know though.
Reply:I made sure the rental company and the venue coordinate to get all that stuff cleaned up. I don't want to mess with any of it on my wedding night.
Reply:If you rented them, you return them or let the leasing company pick them up. whatever you purchased you take home and pack away until you can use them again. I made our centerpieces so I let guests who wanted them take them home. Bouquets we had dried and put them in a "showcase" with our cake cutter service, champagne glasses and bottle of champagne, candles, and formal wedding picture.
Reply:well i'm having waiters that will deal with this. the tablecloths and chair covers i'm renting so i need the waiter to put them back in their boxes so i could send them back. centerpieces well i bet alot of them will be taken by the guest which is exactly what i want. the rest i will take with me.
Reply:Save it, try to sell it, or dump it
Reply:Usually people rent the table clothes, chair covers and stuff. If you own that stuff, keep it and try to rent it out to someone else for their wedding or sell it as a package on ebay.

My cousin gave away her centerpieces (which included a vase with flowers and candles around it ) to her close family.
Reply:did you buy them?

Most people Rent them so they don't have to deal with this situation.
Reply:the flowers give then away... candles us them in your home... as for the rest they come with my venue so they will stay there
Reply:you could donate it or sell it on ebay.. or if you know someone else is getting married see if they would like any of it..
Reply:i made table clothes for a friends wedding the place loved them they bought them from her . Flowers just give away. Another wedding the bride had someone go the next day and pick up the stuff and she gave it to future brides.
Reply:Well I worked at a place that does weddings and everyone always played a game to get rid of the center pieces such as candles. Flowers you can donate to a nursing home and Ive heard of funeral homes too or give them away to your guests as well. Table cloths and chair covers you can sell on ebay or a yard sale. You can also rent table cloths and chair covers too.
Reply:lol

-i gave my centre pieces to family and friends (i had rose bowls)

-my two boquets that i had at the church and reception i gave to my mom

-the balloons i poped (hehe!)

-i saved some stuff for my sisters wedding which is this summer

- i gave away my wedding bows for free on 'usedcalgary.com'

- i still have random stuff in my basement (mostly for keepsake or future family/friends weddings)
Reply:The table cloths, any unused candles, chair covers, vases, any of those things you could sell on Ebay. Lots of brides are doing that...If your flowers are artificial you could sell them also, if they are real flowers you could take them down to the nursing home and give them to the ladies down there, they would love it I'm sure.
Reply:You can rent table cloths and chair covers. The flowers and candles can be donated to Nursing homes. The older people love having the flowers and at least they are put to good use.
Reply:I've been to weddings where they send the centerpieces home with a guest from each table. You could do the same with the flower decorations or let your family and bridesmaids keep the ones they want.

Chair covers and table cloths are tough. That came with the hall for us, which made it very convenient. Ebay?
Reply:Some of it you can keep, some of you can throw away (real flowers, things that die quickly) and some of it you can donate or sell. I keep all my stuff that was large quantities and then put them on craigslist. Someone out there could use it and possibly pay at least 1/2 of what you did.

I also kept one of everything so that I could have it as a memento for when I'm old and my children can look at it.
Reply:If you are renting the linens from a company, see if the company can come break things down for you. If not, the place you are having the wedding may have some suggestions. For anything we are bringing in, we are leaving a list with our parents of what things need to be taken with them when they leave the venue (all the decor and so forth) Other than that, my caterer and florist are doing most of it. For the flowers, make sure you keep them. With all the flowers most weddings have, you and your family should have beautiful flowers for at least a few weeks!
Reply:The venue is providing all of that for me so I don't have to worry about it. It would be really nice if you give the flowers to people as they are leaving. You can try and sell all the other stuff later on e-bay or craigslist but if you don't need the extra cash it would be really nice to donate it through free cycle or something similar so that some struggling bride would be very thrilled.
