How much can I expect to pay at wedding for....?

I am doing a budget for my wedding next year. How much can I generally expect to pay for a live wedding band, a photographer and flowers for the reception? My wedding is in Palm Beach.

Thanks.

that all depends on how much and how big you want everything. you can pay anywhere from 500 to 5000 for flowers.
Reply:My sister in law planned my wedding 5 months ago, we had a small budget but thanks to her creativity we saved a lot of money. All the details of my wedding were just fantastic. She used this site that already has a lot of tips to help you save a lot of money.

Also this site has free lists of wedding photographers in major U.S., Canadian, and destination cities. This is helpful because your photographer can make or break your wedding.

Congratulations and good luck!!!!
Reply:on average:

live band may cost from $3,000 - $5,000

photographer - $2,500 - $ 5,000

Flowers - it really realy depends if you plan on using them as center peices and what kind of flowers you'd like.

These are prices on average in my area (northern NJ - but im sure the prices aren't much different in Palm Beach) - you may- of course - find cheaper and possibly will have to sacrifice the quality

good luck
Reply:Go on www.theknot.com, the have regional vendors listed, with a price range. Some of the vendors will give prices if you go to their websites. Use their budgeting tool, too- that and their checklist were invaluable to me when I was doing my planning.

Good luck.
Reply:I'm in Southern California so I'm not sure about the difference in pricing.

I'm not sure about the live band but we're paying about $1000 for the DJ for 4 hours which I'm pretty sure includes the ceremony music. I'm meeting with them tomorrow.

The flowers are $1200 right now which includes an arch top arrangement (instead of floor to floor arch), 2 arrangements for the pillars on the sides of the arch, stairway for me to walk down with garland, 5 centerpieces (10 people per table = 50 guests), one large arrangement for our "sweetheart table", my bouquet, my matron of honor's bouquet, my toss bouquet, my Mom's corsage, groom's %26amp; best man's boutonniers, and also fresh flowers for my cake and scattered on the table. I am using tropicals though which will include A LOT of bombay orchids so it will depend on how expensive you'll want your flowers to be.

As far as the photographer, we're hoping to use a friend but if we have to use someone else, I'm looking at a bare minimum of $2,000 which doesn't include much. I'll probably budget around $3,000 if we have to do that.

Hope that helps!
Reply:Well if yourre having it on the beach there shouldnt be a rental cost for that lol unless you want tents and stuff like that. A GOOD photographer can run about $4000+ but the one Im using is only going to be about $1500. Im not sure on the band...but flowers can be pretty pricey. If you want individual centerpieces it can be aroung $40 a table possibly. My wedding is in July and we rented a chapel for $3500 and they decorated EVERYTHING for you..its all included in the cost. Our wedding will only be about $6000...which is really cheap. but it will STILL be nice. You have to find ways to miminmize your costs. Instead of a band we are hooking up my ipod for music and just playing through a playlist for the reception..
