Any ideas for a "Casino" themed wedding reception?

I'm getting married and we are having the ceremony in Las Vegas. We are having a reception back home two weeks later. We want to bring Vegas back to the people that won't be able to make it to the wedding. Any decorating ideas? We are already renting casino tables. Also the colors of the wedding are hot pink and black. I'm not big on flowers. Maybe make flowers out of playing cards...anyone know how? Our cake is going to be 3 playing cards (Queen of hearts%26gt;me, King of hearts%26gt;my fiance and a Ace of hearts%26gt;my daughter....our table cloths are black...I want the reception to feel fun but not super cheap and tacky...any ideas?

Have the guests buy poker chips for $1, $5 (whatever) and use them to buy a dance with the bride or groom! Use the profit towards a honeymoon =)
Reply:It is illegal to keep the money raised from a casino night. All profits raised after the cost of hiring the casino tables and croupiers, must go to A registered charity. Report It

Reply:Fun casino hire for weddings is becoming very popular now, so many party supply shops now sell many casino themed party goods. Try your local party store. The big helium filled casino themed balloons look very nice.
Reply:omg that is such a cool idea. maybe u could actully have them play for money? make sure u have lots of drinks and if there are gonna be kids, have games for then with prizes to win. and Good Luck and Congrats

Reply:I think your plans sound great allready...maybee a magician who can go around and do some card tricks or even prizes for the big money winner of the night.

Have fun in Vegas!
Reply:Instead of table numbers use playing cards.
Reply:you've got some really good ideas already, just try and get some gambling and booze going on and you're all set! wish you both the best!
Reply:Get casino girls, servers in the small type of casino dresses. also try to rent some mobsters. OR don't rent mobsters. But do allow smoking in doors, and lots of drinking.

I got married %26amp; had a reception in Vegas. We sent our invites using Casino cardstock, had chocolates on the tables with a card design, Elvis stopped in too. It was great!

Do show your wedding video!
Reply:OOh..starbucks coffee house put out a great CD with Frank Sentra and Dean Martin music..I am going to use it in my receiption..its just perfect. I am sure you can find a copy of it on ebay. Its very nice. I wouldn't go as far as decorating dice everywhere but you may want to stick to a vintage italian style related to the era of dean martin and so on.
Reply:Get some white flashing christmas lights to run along the ceilings to give it that "vegas" look. Get some Burt Backarack, Elvis, and Wayne Newton CDs to play. Serve lots of martini's in plastic martini glasses! Get some plastic cups with ketchup and tiny little cocktail shrimp with a little sign that says "Ninety Nine Cent Shrimp Cocktails". And then over the door to your bedroom have a sign that says "VIP ROOM"!!! he he he!
Reply:You can get a deck of cards customized to be favors. Set up the tables with casino chips that you can buy and give out raffle tickets for your centerpieces. Maybe you want to purchase reasonablely priced slot machines (the table top versions they sell for your home), and place those on the tables.. Name each table after a casino in Vegas...

Your idea is so much fun -- good luck!
Reply:ya...i got an idea....DONT DO IT!
Reply:You could always use playing cards as table settings (make tiny slits on the card and slide the place card in them). You give decks of cards as favors. Probably at a party supply store you can buy the chocolate wrapped candies that look like poker chips. When your in Vegas take some pictures of hotels on the strip and when you get home home you can blow them up and hang them around the room at the reception with lights around them. Do a buffet style meal.

Instead of flowers made out of cards, you could always make your center pieces fanned out cards.

Congratulations!
Reply:We wanted unique wedding favors so we bought scratch-off lottery tickets and bought these custom ticket holders. They were a huge hit!

Reply:its a good idea with the cards but how about some pokerchips and some coins some where
Reply:i have an idea get a bellydancer
Reply:I live in Vegas. Have you seen the Lucky in Love cake at Freeds Bakery ... too cute. It was featured in our paper. It looks great. I would suggest using poker chips--you can get them personalized or dice and flower petals. It will still add a touch of elegance to have rose petals.

Have a great wedding
