Wedding Help! (Backyard Reception)?

I am having my wedding reception in our backyard. It will be really pretty in the spring when all the flowers are blooming etc. I have one problem and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I am having about 50-60 guest and will rent white tables and chairs and place them on my grass area. The problem is half of our backyard is rock, we live in the desert in CA and this is common. I need to put chairs and tables on it and need to have ppl be able to walk on it. Any one have any ideas. someone mentioned turf but i dont think it will work because ppl have to walk on it. I have attached pictures and any responses would be great.

Thanks so much!!

Wedding Help! (Backyard Reception)?
Cover the area with plywood and outdoor carpet or turf so people can walk on it. It can be removed after.
Reply:u could have it somewhere else or u could ask people who do that stuff to replace the rocks with gress or stuff that goes on the floor i dont know what its called its like wood
Reply:Check these companies out, they rent portable outdoor walkways.

If you don't like the way it looks you could maybe rent some sort of carpet or isle runners.

I like the paving stones idea also.
Reply:How about leveling the rock as best you can and covering with with some (cheap) plywood/particleboard and then carpet?
Reply:when you click on the pics it says page not found. lay sod down and then put it on top or ret a tractor to smooth the ground. pour cement to make it level again
Reply:Why not make a "gravel" deck by filling in the area with extra rock, gravel or small stones from a nursery? Since it is the desert, you won't have to worry about any grass dying...

and/or add a wooden deck on top of that area so that there will be more stability for the tables and chairs and guests shoe heels...

and/or fill the area with sand and compact the sand down to level the surface... if the budget allows put pavers on top of that...

You may want to check with you local nursery, party supply, quarry or homestore and see what ideas they have.
Reply:You should go to walmart and buy a couple of cheap tabels then get table clothes so you would not notice and the chairs ????/ sorry
Reply:I can't view your pictures but could you buy some stepping stones from Home Depot or Loews and set them out as a walkway for people to step on? You could get some nice ones or even some cheap ones and paint on them or something. Then you would always have them as a keepsake.
Reply:Have someone build a thick "dancefloor"(deck) that is rermovable after. Using the cheapest wood and getting a handy man to do this will be pretty cheap! You will also have a place to dance! And other things that are that important to be on a nice level area put in your yard
Reply:Luv it says none of your pics are found. Do u have a wedding planner? Maybe they have some ideas... sorry I can't be of any proper help, hope your day goes well xxx
Reply:Cant see the pics but is it possible to get a load of nice pebbles, maybe white ones? and cover the rock with pebbles. At least that will look attractive. Then bury in some stepping stones so that people can walk on the stepping stones. YOu would have to bury in your chair and table legs so they are not wobbly, but if they are sitting on rock anyway they should be fairly stable. It could look really nice.
Reply:well if you want you can take to rocks out and replace with grass, you wil also need it later if your going to have a child, it will run in the yard
