I like the second option the best, but instead of using bed bath and beyond I would check the local craft stores and dollar stores for the vases, you can usually find really cute ones for way cheaper than bbandb. Good luck and Congrats

Reply:Diana I have to be honest with you and tell you that I did not look at any of the pictures that you have here. But I will tell you that my wife of two months did make all her own bouquets and centrepieces for the tables and this was a huge expense saved from real flowers. As well all the bridesmaids got to keep theirs as memomento's from the wedding and the centrepieces we asked silly questions and someone from each table won the centrepieces. Best of luck in your upcoming marriage and hopefully you can also think of more money saving ideas. I don't know if your on the site Wedding Bells or not but do know that my wife was on there and she recieved and shared many ideas with other engaged ladies. Just another little suggestion for you to check out. Again best of luck and happy marriage.
Reply:I like the Waterford look. Also think of using a glass vase with fruit in it and filled with lightly colors water. Then use different fruit at different tables. And put a matching color table cloth. I have videoed a couple weddings with that center pieces and it looks great. it is different also. At that wedding the parents spent around $50000 dollars on the wedding. So it was not a low budget wedding. They are close customer of mine to.
Reply:The items you have in your links are going to be more expensive than any floral centerpiece! Then what are you going to do with them. I like your idea of the glass hurricane glasses, but go to a craft store and you'll find them at a much, much cheaper price and they'll be just as nice. You still have the problem of what to do with them afterwards - you can either sell them on ebay, use them around your home or give them to your wedding party and parents.
Reply:You could get a clear glass or plastic bowl/dish add water some glass beads of the theme colour a floating candle and a single cut flower.





Or the calla lily inside a tall glass vase with some glass beads set on a round mirror ,get some tea lights or those look alike candles set around the vase, they will reflect on the mirror and create a glow.


And at the end of the reception one guest can win the centre piece to take home.

Reply:The flowers did not show up . The first candle sticks are to heavy for a wedding allow tho what would make them more attractive would be spray painint them gold but alone they are not enough you would need some neting and some rose petals to put on the table along with some gemstones. When My friend got married she bought 3 different sizes of the plain red clay plant holders and spray painted them gold and then used some sponging to add the color of the bridesmaids dresses then she glued some greenery on the out side and each contained a candle inside and were light during dinner they sat on a round mirror then to compelete the sitting on some table she had topariy in the same colored pots and on some inexpensive crystal bowls and with fruit that appeared crsytillazed with chiffon fabric running through out. It was beautifull and cheaper than flowers. The crystal globes looked to heavy and were pretty expensive.
Reply:It really depends on what season you are getting married in and what flowers you would want to choose. I would go to a few florists in your area, talk with them about your wedding budget and colors and see what they can do for you. Then compare that to the prices of just having the candle centerpieces and how much it would cost to recreate their boquets with silks. Above poster is just snobby, silk flowers CAN be tacky if you just slap down some of the ones from the dollar store that look fake from across the room. If you get the good ones from places like Garden Ridge you can't tell they are silk unless you touch them.





Exotics like Calla Lillies can run you up to $5 a stem but there are some more affordable but equally as beautiful options like a hydrangea. For instance instead of a purple orchid you could use delphenium (spelling?). It has a similar look but half the price. Tulips in summer is very clean and affordable but Tulips in January is very expensive so silks would be a better option. See what I'm getting at?
Reply:I like the 2nd Idea, from bed bath and beyond. However I would make it colorful. You can spay paint the class to make it match your wedding color. Or you can just leave it clear. Because that's neutral.
Reply:Costco has extremely reasonably priced real flowers -- you can incorporate them with a candle..





Here's an example of what we did at our wedding that nicely incorporates the candle (very cheap) with some real flowers and greenery. I personally am not a fan of fake or silk flowers at a wedding -- especially on the centerpiece where people are sitting so closely to them. There's just something exquisite about real flowers.

Reply:I really like the hurricane candle holders. You could use candles the colors of your wedding and sprinkle flower petals around them.


Or if you are getting married in the fall, you can get silk leaves with a little gold glitter on them and sprinkle them on the table. I got married in November and used the leaves, small pumpkins, gourds and fall flowers. It was really beautiful.

Reply:real flowers would be much more expensive than having candles on the tables of course. you can also use fruit as centerpieces. i saw on whose wedding is it anyway where they put red cranberries in a big bowl and filled it with water and had floating candles in them. it looked really nice. so you can also do that but instead of putting cranberries you can put other fruits that will match your wedding color. and also have votive candles around it.
Reply:The clear candleholders in the middle ranged in price from $69.99 - $89.99 each. That is WAY more than you would ever pay for a whole centerpiece of fresh flowers.
